"Back in 2005, I lived in a beautiful old house in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The older Black woman that had lived and died in the house loved her cherry red kitchen. Late at night, I would hear the kitchen cabinet doors open. When I went to investigate, I found the doors open and no one in sight. From this experience, I was inspired to explore the themes of gentrification and death through the perspective of an aging Diahann."

THIS OLD HOUSE is a proof of concept for a feature that will continue to follow Diahann and explore these themes. The short was produced as part of 20th Digital Studio's BITE SIZE HALLOWEEN for HULU.
